A brief history of profile systems production

The PRAMOS, a.s. company has been founded on September 27^th, 1995, but the production itself began already in 1992. Here originates the first profile line designation – HORIZONT PS^® 920. This was a three chamber system with a middle seal.

In 1999 the market called for a newer system, with softer and lighter design. The new system also had three chambers, and also the year of introduction influenced the line designation: HORIZONT PS^® 990.

In the year 2004 we have introduced a brand new profile line with five chambers – the HORIZONT PS^® penta. This time it was not possible to derive the line name from year of introduction, so a Latin word “penta” (for “five”) was chosen.

In the middle of year 2006 we have completed our profile range with basic profiles with coextruded seals, which gave our partners more options in their production, while retaining high level of quality and versatility.

In the beginning of 2009, we have officially brought a new profile system to the market – the HORIZONT PS^® penta plus, with seven chambers. Now we are able to offer a complete line of profiles, which can easily stand up to the best competitors.

In the middle of 2009, one of the most significant evolution steps is made, concerning the material composition: after many hours of production testing we are now ready to offer a profile line with a complete lead-free formula, giving our products top-level parameters with minimum environmental impact. Profiles with this formula are easily recognized by the PRO Nature sign on the protective film. From the beginning of 2010, the PRO Nature profiles are fully available to our partners and manufacturers.
